Major Events of 2003

US, Britain, Australia and Poland invade Iraq.  Saddam Hussein toppled.

Concorde makes last commercial flight.

The Space Shuttle Columbia is destroyed during re-entry into the atmosphere.

China launches Shenzhou 5, their first manned space mission.

Michael Jackson is arrested by police on charges of child molestation (he is later acquitted on all charges).

Human Genome Project completed.

Former Iraqi President Saddam Hussein is captured by United States forces.

SCO Group sues IBM for $1 billion (later upped to $3 billion, then $5 billion) for alleged intellectual property infringements in Linux.
