Tony Blair is re-elected in British General Election.

Terrorists hijack 4 US airlines, and crash them. World Trade Center in New York City destroyed.

USA Patriot Act becomes law in the USA.

Windows XP is officially released by Microsoft.

Microsoft releases the Xbox console.

Enron files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
